A team of nine cyclists from e.surv chartered surveyors arrived in Kettering on Monday 16th September after finished a cycling challenge to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

They had completed a gruelling 300 mile ride.

The team set off from York on Friday 13 September before heading south to the surveying firm’s Kettering head office. En route, they visited e.surv offices including Hinckley, Leeds and Newark, in a tour of the e.surv offices that lasted three and a half days.

The cycle is the first annual Big Charity Challenge from e.surv, which aims to put social responsibility at the heart of its set of company values. It was supported by the corporate sponsors Holiday Inn Express, Toyota, BMW and Lex Autolease, in addition to individual donations.

Richard Fisk, a director of e.surv who took part in the event, said: “As a company we wanted to show our support for charities that were close to the hearts of our staff, and which they could feel involved in helping. That’s why we came up with the idea of an e.surv cycle challenge. The tour – which took in our regional offices – allowed us to visit all the staff and get everybody involved in supporting the cause.”

“We hope to raise significant amounts for the two charities, as well as IHG Shelter in a Storm campaign and hope this is just the first of many e.surv fundraising events to come.”
