GI provider Uinsure has made two appointments.
Ian Ballinger joins as head of key accounts and will report to director of sales Jason Berry.
He joins Uinsure from Legal & General and will work alongside Mark Hutchings, who retains his role as head of sales & distribution.
Berry said: “Ian joining Uinsure is a real coup. He’s passionate about general insurance and is recognised by many industry stalwarts as a high calibre professional who consistently helps create positive results.
“I am certain Ian will support our Key Accounts very effectively and help embed general insurance into their daily sales processes. Uinsure have huge ambitions and, as more new distribution keeps coming our way, we’ll continue to build our expert team with high calibre appointments like Ian’s.”
Ballinger said: “I have watched with interest the significant growth of Uinsure, especially over recent years, and I am very much looking forward to playing my part in driving the business forward. Uinsure have huge ambitions and I am delighted to be joining a business that shares my passion for this market.”
In addition, Angela Robertson joins as its new BDM for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Robertson (pictured) has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having previously worked for Tesco Bank, AXA and Legal & General. She previously worked with Simon Taylor, Uinsure’s CEO, at Bankhall.
She said: “Having worked with Simon before, I know first-hand just how motivated and passionate he is. I’m delighted to team up with Simon once again and am thrilled to be joining Uinsure. Very exciting times lie ahead for Uinsure and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Berry added: “Angela has extensive broker experience and is perfectly placed to advise and educate our Scotland and Northern Ireland brokers. Her consultative approach and infectious enthusiasm will undoubtedly assist Uinsure to support both existing and new relationships superbly.
“Angela joins Uinsure at a brilliant time. New Distribution is partnering at unprecedented frequency and new business sales are at record levels.”
