Dick Jenkins has become a non-executive director (NED) at the Buckinghamshire Building Society.

Jenkins (pictured) retired last week following 15 years as the Bath Building Society’s CEO and two years as chairman of the Building Societies Association

DiHe said: “I was not ready to fully retire and leave the mutual sector so I was thrilled to be appointed as a NED at the Buckinghamshire. I have followed the Buckinghamshire over a number of years and believe it has made significant progress growing and reshaping its business.

“I am excited about the challenges of a non-executive role and am really looking forward to working with the board and the rest of the staff to continue to support and drive the Society forward.”

Robin Bailey, chair of the Buckinghamshire, added: “I am delighted that Dick is joining our board. His knowledge and experience of running a similar sized society over a sustained period, and his network and reputation in the market is outstanding.

“This will be invaluable to the Buckinghamshire and to our continuing successful progress growing our business whilst doing the right thing for our members, staff, the local community and other stakeholders.”
