A text message advert has been banned by the advertising watchdog.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that R G Debt Management (trading as Debt Line) had breached three points of its code.
An unsolicited text message stated “Hi [recipient’s name] I urgently need to speak to you about your debts. We can contact your creditors straight away. Call now 0120XXXXXXX (ToOptOutTxtNOtoXXXXX)””.
