Date set for new AIFA/AMI/AFB boss’s start

Stephen Gay is to join the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA) as its new director general on 1 December 2010.

He was appointed by AIFA in September and is working an agreed notice period with Aviva.

He will also be director general of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB).

Gay said: “I am looking forward to joining the organisation in December. Being closely involved in the intermediary profession I understand the many regulatory and economic pressures that members currently face.
