Dashly unveils Chrome extension for mortgage affordability

Published on

Dashly has launched a Google Chrome browser extension designed to “instantly” show people the most competitive mortgage deal for each property they look at when they are searching on Rightmove or Zoopla.

Users add enter some basic information, such as the size of their deposit, their desired loan term, whether they are looking for a capital repayment or interest-only mortgage, and if they want a fixed or variable rate.

The Dashly Chrome extension then searches mortgage deals in real-time and provides a real-world indicative idea of what a mortgage could cost.

Ross Boyd, founder of Dashly, said: “This easily downloadable tool instantly tells homeowners what the lowest mortgage payment could be for the specific property they’re looking at given the parameters they’ve set.

“Rather than repeatedly having to manually enter the information into a mortgage calculator, they get a real-world indicative mortgage repayment figure in real-time. If they decide to take the plunge, the extension then connects them with a team of advisers that will help secure the best and most appropriate deal for them given their circumstances.

“It’s just another small piece in our ongoing mission to reinvent the mortgage market for good.”
