Countrywide Surveying Services appoints director of field operations

Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) has announced the promotion of Rebecca Freeman to director of field operations.

Freeman joined Countrywide in 2004 on its graduate training programme, qualifying as a residential surveyor in 2006 and working predominantly in the West Country. She has taken part in Countrywide’s internal development programme which supports opportunities for progression and coaching towards leadership roles.

Her most recent position within CSS was as technical director where she supported lender clients, customers, field and central colleagues in delivering the highest levels of quality and performance. Freeman has also been heavily involved with RICS as part of its diversity and inclusion campaign. This included a focus on how to attract more women into the residential surveying industry, including the Women In Surveying initiative.

As director of field operations, she will combine all this accumulated knowledge and experience gained over the years within both Countrywide Surveying Services and the wider surveying industry. She will also utilise her career development to encourage and promote further opportunities within the business.

Matthew Cumber, managing director of Countrywide Surveying Services, said: “Rebecca really is a shining example of what hard work, enthusiasm and talent really can achieve and we are immensely proud of her progression though the ranks. She has held a number of different positions within the company and excelled at them all – whether out in the field, managing claims or working closely with lender clients.

“As a company, we are a strong advocate of the Women In Surveying initiative, Rebecca has been a great flagbearer for this campaign and long may it continue.”

Freeman added: “Having worked within the business for nearly 17 years in a variety of roles, I am excited to be able to combine all of this experience into shaping the future of our business. I also hope my journey gives confidence and encouragement to all those seeking to further develop their career ambitions because my journey is proof that with the right support this is absolutely possible.”
