Conveyancing Alliance appoints new sales director

Published on

Conveyancing Alliance has named Mark Richards as its new sales director, promoting him from his previous position as area director following a four-year tenure marked by rapid regional growth and strategic expansion.

Richards (pictured) joined Conveyancing Alliance, now part of Movera, in 2020. Since then, he has played a central role in building the company’s profile across Wales and the South West of England, growing its broker base in the region from a standing start to almost 500. The achievement is one Richards himself has described as one of the proudest of his 30-year career in financial services.

Prior to joining CAL, Richards held senior leadership roles at Principality Building Society and HSBC. He is widely regarded within the industry for his ability to deliver not only commercial results but also cultural change – a quality that CAL appears keen to harness on a wider scale.

In his new position, Richards will assume responsibility for the team of area directors and lead efforts to grow the business nationally. He will be tasked with expanding broker choice, improving internal systems and processes, and enhancing the solicitor panel proposition that sits at the heart of CAL’s offering to brokers and estate agents.

Richards said the company’s progress in recent years had been “extraordinary” and expressed pride in having contributed to its growth. “As sales director, my focus will be on supporting and developing our people in order to accelerate our expansion, listening closely to the needs of our brokers and estate agents, and delivering a service so strong that working with CAL becomes an easy and enduring decision.”

Mark Tosetti, chief executive of CAL, welcomed the appointment. “Mark’s passion for people, performance, and progress makes him an exceptional fit for this role,” he said. “His success in building our presence in a previously untapped region is a testament to his leadership and vision. I’m confident he will help us reach new heights as we continue to evolve and strengthen our offer to brokers and partners across the UK.”
