Connells appoints eTech for surveying technology application

Published on

Connells Survey & Valuation will be adopting eTech’s Mortgage Valuation mobile application for the completion of Mortgage Valuation Reports across the business.

Operating on an Apple iPad, the electronic data capture is found all in one place.

Mapped lender forms, and pre-determined question sets with in-built validation, are designed to eradicate omissions and errors, significantly reducing Post Valuation Queries.

The ability to create floorplans on-site within the App and the integration with OS Master Maps is also planned to save considerable time on each valuation. Features such as shortcut tools to create complex room components and automatic floor area calculations are designed to minimise the effort involved.

All information will be stored electronically.

Ross Bowen, managing director of Connells Survey & Valuation, said: “The appointment of eTech to support our surveying activities dovetails neatly with Connells’ ongoing continuous improvement plans. This next generation technology combined with our mutual focus on providing outstanding customer outcomes delivers a compelling proposition to all our customers.”

Mark Blackwell, chief operating officer at eTech added: “We are looking forward to working closely with Connells Survey & Valuation and feel confident that the migration to eTech’s mobile software will bring with it significant benefits to their surveying team. Our Mortgage Valuation App is the product of five years continued development and refinement and has been built from the ground up to meet the needs of surveyors undertaking mortgage valuations.

“We hope that this is just the start of the journey with Connells Survey & Valuation and are excited about what’s ahead, with our roadmap for future development and the integration of more technological enhancements and solutions for the sector.”
