Connect’s sourcing tool gets thumbs-up

thumbs up

Connect Overseas’ foreign mortgage sourcing system, launched in July, has received positive endorsement from Solent Mortgage Services (SMS) and Brilliant Solutions.

The new system, which provides an online sourcing and fulfilment facility, gives the broker the opportunity to deal directly with the lender and receive 100% of the commission or refer the client to Connect to complete the deal.

“The new system is excellent,” said Ian Balfour, CEO of SMS.

“It provides us with a first rate helpmate to assist our introducers with initial enquiries allowing them to provide customers with thoroughly researched options. From that point, an expert from Connect Overseas is on hand to guide any application to a successful conclusion.”

Kevin Thomson, intermediary business director at Brilliant Solutions, added: “It has already proved to be a fantastic tool to give our brokers an excellent overview of the marketplace. Brokers being asked by clients for information on finance packages for particular countries are very well served and of course it means that the intermediary’s credibility is considerably enhanced.

“I can see brokers wanting to open a new business channel in foreign mortgages subscribing directly to the Connect system because it really offers a lot for the money.

“Of course, we have plenty of brokers who are only going to come across an overseas lead occasionally and therefore the Connect system is perfect to enable us to give a great service.”
