Clever Lending has appointed David Winter as commercial and bridging specialist as the master broker sees continued growth in its commercial business levels.

With a background in business funding and financial services, Winter (pictured) has worked with a number of large banking groups including HSBC, Lloyds, Bank of Ireland, Close Brothers as well as the Birmingham Midshires Building Society.

He has also managed his own commercial finance brokerage specialising in all areas of business finance dealing exclusively with the financial introducer market and with a wide range of lenders.

Clever Lending believes Winter will help grow its commercial and bridging business.

Winter said: “It’s great to become part of an innovative group dedicated to helping the introducer, and the plans that Sam Kirtikar and the team have for the business going forward can only serve to delight the brokers we support, and something I am very excited to be involved with.”

Sonny Gosai, head of specialist lending, added: “Clever Lending are emerging within the bridging and commercial sector and there is a huge appetite amongst introducing brokers and their clients for commercial lending. We are very pleased to bring David Winter on board to complement and enhance our ever growing bridging and commercial proposition.

“He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and understands the needs of our clients and that can only ensure that our service standards and product offering continue. He is a very determined individual who has a hunger to succeed as he has done so in previous roles. We look forward to him helping Clever Lending achieve our goals and maintain our reputation in this field.”
