Citizens Advice seeks debt management partner

Published on

Citizens Advice has announced a tender process for a single, preferred debt management plan (DMP) supplier.

The national charity wants to build a partnership with a provider that will meet high standards and that bureaux will be able to confidently recommend to debt clients.

Debt advice agencies who can meet specified quality standards are being invited to apply. The partnership will initially be a year long pilot across up to 100 of the network’s 394 bureaux in England and Wales and will start in October this year.

Director of policy Teresa Perchard said: “Last year Citizens Advice Bureaux helped clients with 2.4 million debt enquiries making it our biggest area of advice at 34% of all enquiries.
