Castle Trust Bank has expanded its sales team with the recruitment of Barry Ireland as regional account manager for the South West and Midlands.

BarIrelandry joins from Apex Bridging where he managed relationships with all new and existing mortgage brokers and business introducers nationally across England and Wales.

In his new role, Ireland will take a proactive approach with broker firms in the South West and Midlands, helping them to understand how Castle Trust Bank’s specialist bridging proposition could benefit their clients, as well as providing a dedicated point of contact for queries around any element of the lending process.

Anna Lewis, commercial director at Castle Trust Bank, said: “We are delighted that Barry has joined Castle Trust Bank to help us grow our business in the South West and Midlands. We have a strong pedigree of helping property investors to realise their objectives and have recently launched a dedicated bridging proposition.

“Our status as a bank enables us to provide certainty of funding, which has never been more important to brokers and their clients than it is in the current environment, and Barry will be instrumental in helping more brokers to experience the benefits of working with Castle Trust Bank.”

Ireland added: “Castle Trust Bank has a strong reputation for providing brokers with a unique combination of flexibility and certainty, and delivering innovative solutions to help property investors achieve their objectives.

“Its new dedicated bridging team has the skills and experience to identify solutions to situations that other lenders may consider too complex. It’s a great proposition and I am looking forward to offering it to my existing broker contacts and new relationships in the South West and Midlands.”
