Cardiff property leaders to convene for sector outlook event

Swansea Building Society is to host a senior industry panel in partnership with HCR Law, Knight Frank and MHA, as firms across Wales prepare for another year of regulatory and economic change.

The event will take place on Wednesday April 15 at Glamorgan Cricket Ground in Cardiff, bringing together property professionals from across Wales and further afield for a discussion on the legislative, fiscal and market forces expected to influence activity over the coming year.

Chaired by broadcaster Sian Lloyd, the session will focus on practical implications for those operating across residential and commercial property.

Topics due to be addressed include legislative change, tax considerations, valuation trends, planning reform and broader economic pressures.

A light breakfast will be served from 8.00am, with the panel discussion beginning at 8.30am. An interactive question-and-answer session will follow, allowing delegates to raise issues directly with the speakers.

PANEL TO ADDRESS LEGISLATION, TAX AND VALUATION

The panel will feature Matt Phillips, partner and head of Cardiff office at Knight Frank; Leighton Reed, tax consultant at MHA; Lauren Perdikis, partner, real estate at HCR Law; and Richard Miles, area manager east Wales region and head of savings & marketing at Swansea Building Society.

Speaking ahead of the event, Richard Miles said: “The property market is navigating a period of rapid change, with evolving regulation, economic pressures and shifting expectations all influencing decision-making.

“By bringing together experts from across the industry, this event provides a valuable opportunity to share insight, discuss practical implications and help professionals better understand what lies ahead.”

The organisers are inviting property professionals and advisers with an interest in the direction of the Welsh and wider UK market to attend. Places are limited and prospective attendees have been asked to contact the society directly for further details.
