Canopius added to Santander Additions panel

Santander Additions has added Canopius to its panel of insurers for Bedroom Plus, its insurance product available exclusively via Abbey for Intermediaries.

It is also increasing some of the limits on its Bedroom Plus product and introducing a choice of limits on Personal Belongings optional cover and increased Single Article limits.

Canopius now joins Aviva, Groupama, and Royal & Sun Alliance as part of the Santander Additions insurance panel.system and easy to use application process.

Canopius is Syndicate 4444 at Lloyd’s of London.

Santander Additions is also increasing certain limits on its Bedroom Plus cover. Designed for homes with up to four bedrooms, Bedroom Plus offers the ability to specify the buildings sum insured, as well as a fixed contents sum.

The changes to the Bedroom Plus product include:

  • The introduction of a choice of cover limits and increased single article limits under the Personal Belongings cover option
  • Increased individual bicycle cover from £500 per bicycle to £1,000 per bicycle under Personal Belongings cover
  • Increased limit from £1,000 to £2,000 for credit, debit, cheque guarantee and cash card loss under Personal Belongings cover
  • Alternative Accommodation limit under Contents cover increased from a maximum of £7,500 to maximum of £10,000
