Buyers in the South East have most viewings

Your Move has revealed that revealed that 41% of UK homeowners viewed six or more properties before buying their last home and that 80% viewed more than three properties.

51% of buyers in the South East viewed six or more properties, closely followed by buyers in the South West (48%). In contrast, homeowners in the North West were the least likely to view this many properties (30%) and buyers in Wales were the most likely to purchase the first property they saw (16%).

The results are part of Your Move’s latest research of more than 5,000 respondents.

Oliver Blake, managing director at Your Move, said: “Even though some homeowners are lucky enough to fall in love with the first or second property they view, the majority take more time to make an offer on the perfect home. The results of our survey show that many home buyers are rightly being careful about making one of the most important financial decisions of their life.

“February is typically the busiest month of the year in terms of online viewings being booked for Your Move and could be good news for those looking to sell their properties now.”
