Broker Conveyancing partners for equity release service

Published on

Broker Conveyancing has launched a new service for advisers seeking specialist conveyancing advice for their equity release clients.

The distributor has partnered with BBH Legal Services Ltd, to help provide its adviser users with a way of introducing their equity release clients to the conveyancer.

When the details are handed over, BBH handle all legal aspects of the case, making sure clients understand all the terms and conditions of the product, making clear all the implications and responsibilities, outlining all considerations, and manging the case through to completion.

BBH Legal Services Limited was established in 2011 and is wholly owned by Thompsons Solicitors LLP.

Mark Snape, managing director of Broker Conveyancing, said: “There’s no doubt we have seen a significant growth in equity release business over the past couple of years, and in all likelihood that will continue, given the level of underlying demand and the fact that homeowners are now much more comfortable accessing their built-up equity. Customers however need specialist advice and advisers need specialist legal services, which is why we have linked up with BBH to ensure this is exactly what they get.

“The equity release sector is very different to the mainstream mortgage market and the responsibilities that come with it – for all concerned – mean that is absolutely imperative that you have a conveyancer that is steeped in the market and totally understands what is required. BBH, without doubt, has this and we believe many Broker Conveyancing advisers active in the equity release market, will want to use their services in order to get the best conveyancing service for their clients, and to deliver legal peace of mind to them.”

Simon Wilson, managing director of BBHL Legal Services Ltd, added: “It is testimony to our equity release team, and to Broker Conveyancing, that our approach to equity release is of such a high standard that we can now offer this new service.”
