Broker Conveyancing appoints Midlands area director

Broker Conveyancing has announced several new hires, promotions and an ongoing recruitment drive.

Following a record month for the business in May, Broker Conveyancing has bolstered human resource in the business with a new account manager, two internal promotions and is also seeking to add to its team.

The conveyancing distributor has appointed Phil Roberts as its new area director for the Midlands region. Roberts (pictured) reports to sales director, Keith Young, and is charged with developing new and existing adviser relationships across the area.

He joins Broker Conveyancing from mortgage and protection network, Stonebridge Group, where he was national recruitment manager. He has also held roles at Positive Lending and Specialist Financial Services Recruitment Ltd.

Back in March, Conveyancing Alliance Limited (CAL), which includes the Broker Conveyancing and Agency Convey brands, announced a new management team with Mark Snape taking over the managing director and Keith Young being promoted to the role of sales director.

Snape said: “Since taking over as MD of this business we’ve seen a very strong three-month period including an ongoing growth in registered adviser numbers which is translating into record activity levels. Part of our initial focus has been on the ways and means we could invest in this operation and how we could develop new and existing relationships.

“To do this, we recognised the need for a growing team – there has always been a direct correlation between hiring new people and increasing volume – and we are therefore very pleased to announce our first addition to the business, with Phil joining us as area director in the Midlands. Phil comes to us with a large amount of experience in adviser recruitment and I’m sure he will be utilising that experience and his relationships to help us develop our footprint across the region.

“This is an exciting time for the business – we have invested heavily in new IT equipment in order to heighten our service levels and future-proof our operation, plus we have promoted internally, added an account manager and we’ll be making further announcements around our service and product enhancements very shortly.”
