Brightstar expands specialist first charge team

Published on

Brightstar Finance has recruited Kevin Ward to join the specialist first charge and buy-to-let team under director, Chris Bramham.

Ward has spent nearly 18 years in the lending market, having started as an underwriter with Yorkshire Building Society in 1997. At AMF One Stop Mortgages, he became operations manager during his nine year tenure and then had two years as a broker relationship manager at First4Bridging.

Before joining Brightstar, Ward was head of business development at Connect Mortgage Club for three years.

Bramham said: “Thanks to its success, Brightstar is in the enviable position of attracting some of the best talent in the industry. We are fortunate to now have Kevin working with us.

“His experience and knowledge will be an enormous asset to my team and bringing his skills on board greatly adds to the expertise now available to our growing base of introducers.”

Ward added: “I am delighted to be joining a business which is making such a difference to adviser firms and their clients, faced with growing rejection on the high street.

“This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and I already feel part of a team which is redefining the way specialist lending solutions are becoming such an important part of the advice process in the industry.”
