Nationwide Building Society has appointed James Briffitt as regional sales manager for the south east.

He will start his new role on 11 July 11 and will report to Ian Andrew, managing director of Nationwide Group Intermediary Sales.

Briffitt returns to Nationwide after 18 months at L&G, where he was national sales manager on the general insurance side of the business. He was previously at Nationwide for three years, in the role of senior manager of corporate accounts.

He has spent virtually all of his 25 year career in financial services, the majority being in intermediary lending.

“It is superb to have James back on board, doing what he does best, focused on the lending market,” said Ian Andrew.

“He was an original member of the team that set up the Nationwide intermediary arm, so he is perfectly placed to take it to the next step.”
