BFS to sponsor Dragons Den-style property programme

Bridging Finance Solutions is partnering with producers of ‘Property Elevator’, a new Dragons Den style programme, to be aired on Sky Property TV next month.

BFS are sole sponsors of the new programme and will provide funding to would-be developers who have survived and thrived in front of a panel of property market figures.

Filming is set to begin in January and the first of five shows will be aired in February on Sky’s Property TV.

John Hardman (pictured), head of sales at Bridging Finance Solutions, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be involved in the pilot of Property Elevator. The concept is a tried and tested one that I feel will work incredibly well in the property arena.

“Our role is to provide bridging funding to the developer who finds success following their time/grilling in front of the taskmasters/panel and their project considered a viable one.”

The program is the brainchild of property developer John Howard, who has worked closely with the team at BFS for many years. He said: “I’ve been working on the development of this project for some time. I’ve always admired the Dragons Den program and recognised the potential synergies this could have with the property sector. It’s fantastic to see this program taken on by Sky who have shown huge enthusiasm for the concept and we’re now keen to press ahead with production later this month.”

Developers will present their ideas during each program to a panel made up of two northern and two southern property professionals.

Howard added: “Getting the right team in place, both in front of the camera and in terms of back end support, was vital. I knew that BFS would be an ideal fit as part of the wider team and I’m really pleased to have them on board providing external advice and insight into the funding aspect of the sometimes complex property development process.”
