Simon Read has joined BestAdvice as its special projects editor.

Read (pictured) will initially be responsible for the BestAdvice Intelligence specialist sector reports, which are now in their third year and will host a soon-to-launch webinar programme.

He is an experienced personal finance journalist. During his career, he has been Money Editor at two national newspapers and was for some years a presenter on a BBC1 money show.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to starting in my new, part-time role. The mortgage trade press is in a period of flux and BestAdvice is ideally placed to capitalise on this with its special projects, which will help it stand out from the crowd.”

Simon will be Initially writing the third Later Life Lending report, which will be published at the end of May.

The webinar programme will launch in the coming weeks. Offered free to brokers, they will cover a range of specialist lending subjects and will provide CPD for attendees.

He can be contacted at simon@bestadvice.co.uk. Press releases and non-project enquiries should continue to be addressed to newsdesk@bestadvice.co.uk.
