Barclays joins Submissions Brain

Mortgage Brain has welcomed Barclays to Submissions Brain, its application and submission gateway.

Submissions Brain is a cloud-based platform available to all intermediaries as a standalone service as well as through a range of integrations including Mortgage Brain’s CRM, The Key and sourcing system, Sourcing Brain, as well as users of One Mortgage System (OMS). It allows intermediaries, through a single log in, to carry out a range of activities that save time and reduce the need to visit numerous systems, whilst also ensuring that a single set of client data can be used multiple time.

Submissions Brain services include the transfer of data directly to a lenders systems so that the intermediary can pre-populate the lenders Decision in Principle (DIP), additionally with some lenders the intermediary can also submit a DIP, obtain DIP responses, submit Full Mortgage Applications (FMA) and continue monitoring application progress via case tracking and document upload facilities.

Barclays launched its trial of Submissions Brain recently with Fluent Mortgages, and from today has rolled it out to the entire market. The integration of the service is delivered via an API and means intermediaries can seamlessly transfer data from Mortgage Brain systems to the Barclays platform without the need to re-key data, intermediaries can then log directly into the Barclays systems and their information is ready and waiting.

Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain, said: “Barclays is one of the UK’s biggest lenders, so it’s a huge milestone to welcome them onto Submissions Brain. The platform is providing tangible time-saving benefits to mortgage advisers of all sizes and with the succession of lenders who have joined over the last 12 months, it clearly demonstrates the growing reputation of Submissions Brain.”
