Barclays cuts rates and adds new 70% LTV deals

Barclays is making changes to its residential, buy-to-let and Reward ranges tomorrow (Thursday 11 April).

This includes introducing two new 70% LTV two and five-year fixed rate purchase products which come with £500 cashback as well as reductions to existing deals, including buy-to-let.

Key product changes

Residential purchase

  • New –  1.99% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, £500 cashback, 70% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £500,000
  • New –  2.25% 5 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, £500 cashback, 70% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £1,000,000
  • Reduced – 1.86% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.79%

New products: 

Residential Purchase/Remortgage

  • 1.85% 2 Year Fixed, £299 product fee, 75% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000

Purchase

  • 1.99% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, £500 cashback, 70% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £500,000
  • 2.25% 5 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, £500 cashback, 70% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £1,000,000

Reductions:

Residential Purchase/Remortgage

  • 1.49% 2 Year Fixed, £999 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.44%
  • 1.59% 2 Year Fixed, £999 product fee, 75% LTV, Min loan 5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.54%
  • 2.04% 7 Year Fixed, £999 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.99%
  • 2.55% 10 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 2.49%

Purchase

  • 1.86% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.79%
  • 2.23% 5 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 75% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 2.18%
  • 2.88% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 95% LTV, Min loan £5,000, Max loan £375,000 will decrease to 2.85%

Remortgage

  • 2.02% Great Escape 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 75% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 1.99%
  • 2.42% Great Escape 5 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 85% LTV, Min loan £50,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 2.34%

Buy-to-let

Purchase/Remortgage

  • 1.55% 2 Year Fixed, 1% product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £100,000, Max loan £215,000 will decrease to 1.50%
  • 2.33% 2 Year Fixed, £0 product fee, 60% LTV, Min loan £35,000, Max loan £1,000,000 will decrease to 2.28%
