Bankhall launches nationwide advisory workshops

Published on

Bankhall has launched a new series of investment workshops for advisers at 13 venues across the UK.

Research, due diligence and the investment process will be analysed by Bankhall’s regulatory specialists for advisory firms in the wake of the FCA’s recent Thematic Review TR16/1 (Assessing suitability: Research and due diligence of products and services). This will include a look at how advisers go about measuring and assessing risk as part of a robust investment process that ensures good outcomes for customers.

Other topics on the agenda include an update on the forthcoming changes to capital adequacy requirements, along with an overview from the Bankhall team of what advisory firms need to know in order to plan and deliver successful mergers and acquisitions.

Christian Woodford, head of Bankhall Account Management said: “The FCA’s thematic review has shone an important light on the investment advice process. Our team will help firms to examine the factors they need to consider when carrying out research and due diligence in order to ensure good outcomes for their customers.

“Our practical workshops are always well received and provide advisers with valuable information on the latest regulatory developments, along with investment market updates from leading providers, to help firms stay up-to-date.”
