Bank Rate held for 25th consecutive month

The Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has once more voted for no change in Bank Rate it remains at 0.5%.

The MPC also left the amount of Quantitative Easing unchanged.

This means the Bank Rate has remained unchanged for the 25th consecutive month.

Last month, three of the nine-person Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) again voted for a rate rise.
