Aviva joins CIExpert’s Insight Zone

Published on

Aviva has become the latest insurer to join CIExpert’s Income Protection Insight Zone.

With this addition, CIExpert subscribers now have access to Aviva’s personal income protection options, including its enhanced Income Protection+ plan and its budget-conscious Living Costs Protection plan. These are now available within CIExpert’s ecosystem at no additional cost, alongside Aviva’s broader personal and business life and critical illness offering.

The move brings the number of insurers featured in the Income Protection Insight Zone to eight, completing representation from every life and critical illness insurer in the UK market. It comes shortly after the launch of CIExpert’s new Insight Zone Dashboard, which brings together tools, calculators, and educational content in a unified interface.

Paul Roberts, proposition and distribution director at CIExpert, said Aviva’s decision to participate was a clear vote of confidence. “Aviva’s decision to become the latest insurer to join our Income Protection Insight Zone is more than a ringing endorsement of the value our Insight Zone delivers to advisers and consumers; it also clearly signals the trust that leading insurers such as Aviva place in CIExpert,” he said.

Roberts added that the platform’s aim is to equip both advisers and consumers with robust, accurate information to underpin financial resilience. “Everybody at CIExpert is fully committed to building on the depth of information, as well as new tools and calculators, available within our Insight Zone, and that’s why we’re so excited to welcome Aviva,” he said.

The Insight Zone provides side-by-side comparisons and detailed analysis of protection products, allowing advisers to navigate a complex and frequently changing market with greater ease and accuracy. The platform’s recent integration with Iress’ Exchange and Xplan Mortgage platforms is also said to be driving further engagement, enabling seamless access to CIExpert content during the client research process.

Aviva’s participation brings added visibility to its income protection range. Income Protection+ includes options for level or increasing guaranteed premiums and comes with a host of embedded features, including waiver of premium, access to rehabilitation support, a trauma benefit and cover tailored to NHS medical professionals. Both plans – including the Living Costs Protection plan, which offers up to £1,500 cover without income verification – feature annual statements and offer optional extras such as Global Treatment Cover and Fracture Cover.

Jonathan Cater, CI proposition manager at Aviva, welcomed the opportunity to support CIExpert’s latest developments. “We are delighted to support the launch of CIExpert’s new Insight Zone Dashboard, which represents a significant step forward in empowering advisers with streamlined, accessible, and education-driven tools,” he said.

He added that the platform’s consolidated approach to product visibility across life, critical illness, and income protection markets would help advisers stay ahead of trends and provide more customer-centric advice.
