Gary Walker

Property management company Aventria has announced the appointment of Gary Walker as its new chief operating officer (COO).

His career has spanned three decades. As a senior manager for Lloyds Banking Group, he built a multi-site business to effectively manage a £1 billion portfolio of assets. He also led the collections and recoveries dept including accountability for a portfolio of 3,000 properties.

Walker (pictured) said: “I am delighted to be joining the largest fully independent asset manager in the UK at such an exciting time. [Aventria CEO Steve Merry] is in final discussions with a number of new clients that will see Aventria propelled to the top of the premier league of asset management in the UK. I know that with the experience and knowledge gained during very difficult market conditions I can help deliver a market leading standard of service to lenders and other clients.”

Merry added: “I am very excited by the momentum Aventria is gathering at present. Gary is and will continue to be one of the leading figures in the UK asset management industry. His knowledge, connections and senior management skills will be a huge asset to us during what I expect to be a very successful period at Aventria.

“To recruit some one of Gary’s experience and reputation is a powerful endorsement of the Aventria proposition in providing genuine independent Asset management to Lenders, Receivers and Solicitors.”
