Assurant Intermediary improves online broker POS system

Published on

Assurant Intermediary has made a number of changes with the aim to increase the speed and usability of UPOS, its web-based point of sale platform for brokers.

UPOS enables intermediaries to access multiple quotes, compare the market and determine options from a single set of information. All products are underwritten at the point of sale and all documents are available online, including the illustration, demands and needs statement and policy documentation.

Assurant Intermediary says the platform upgrade provides a simplified system for intermediaries to receive quotes and submit applications online. The UPOS system also now offers the ability to collect the first premium by Direct Debit.

Kevin Paterson , sales and marketing director, said: “When we launched UPOS in January last year we said that it represents a continual evolution of our point of sale proposition. Since its launch we’ve listened to our intermediaries and taken their comments on board.
