Assurant appoints new V-P

Assurant Solutions has appointed Kyle Lawlor as vice-president and chief actuary for its European businesses.

This appointment links central management functions across the businesses located in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany and Italy. In this new role, Lawlor will have overall responsibility for managing the country actuarial staff in each location.

Kyle joined the Assurant Solutions Actuarial Department based in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2004 and since that time has supported the service and warranty businesses managed by its international operations. In January 2008, he was promoted to director, supporting extended service contracts (ESC) and vehicle service contracts (VSC) for all international locations. He has relocated from Atlanta to take up his new role at the European business unit headquarters in Windsor.
