Asset Advantage is embarking on a series of regional events aimed at helping commercial finance brokers improve how they structure deals for SME clients.
The business finance provider will host a broker roadshow across three UK cities early this year, bringing together members of its credit, sales and payouts team to share practical insight into how deals are assessed and supported by funders.
The interactive sessions will focus on how brokers can better identify and structure opportunities, with discussion covering areas such as debt serviceability, current funder appetites and how lenders and brokers can work more closely to add value for clients.
Sales director Gary Thompson and broker manager Jonty Cooke will lead the sessions, including a detailed breakdown of a recent transaction to show how collaboration between broker and funder can influence outcomes.
DATES AND LOCATIONS
The series begins in Manchester at The Edwardian on Thursday 29 January, before moving to London at the Radisson Blu, Tottenham Court Road on Thursday 12 February. The final event will take place in Birmingham at The Belfry on Thursday 12 March.
Each session will run from 10am to 1.30pm, with lunch provided.
The roadshow follows feedback from brokers pointing to growing demand for asset finance and business loans, particularly to support business acquisitions.
However, the same survey highlighted frustration around limited appetite from some funders, including for acquisitions, management buy-outs, soft assets and intangible costs.
Asset Advantage works with brokers nationwide, providing hire purchase and finance lease solutions alongside capex term loans and business acquisition finance.
The lender said it remains open-minded on both asset type and sector where a business can demonstrate strong debt serviceability and an appropriate risk profile.
Gary Thompson, sales director at Asset Advantage, said: “2026 looks set to be another busy year for asset finance and business loans as more SMEs prepare to invest and expand.
“Hosting this series of roadshows presents a tremendous opportunity to strengthen our relationships with broker partners across the country, while sharing our expertise on deal structuring and how a funder can best support their cases and the ambitions of their clients.
“A funder offers the most value when they fully understand the client’s vision, the business behind the application and can provide well-structured and flexible funding solutions.
“We know from our recent survey that not all funders are created equal, and it is important that we demonstrate our ability to understand, manage and complete complex deals – providing suitable options when other funders step away.
“We hope these sessions will give brokers actionable insights on how to add value in 2026 and how the right funder can contribute to the success of both their client’s business and their own.”
Commercial finance brokers can request to attend one of the sessions via Asset Advantage.
