Aspen Bridging appoints head of credit

Aspen Bridging has promoted Harry Baker to a newly created role of head of credit.

Baker (pictured) will be responsible for day-to-day oversight on the LTV approach for differing case types, supporting the business in maintaining underwriting criteria and managing and organising training programmes for staff.

He will also continue to organise and oversee the caseloads of the underwriting team as well as assisting on strategically important larger applications.

Baker joined Aspen in 2017 on its graduate recruitment scheme as underwriter, after which he was promoted to senior underwriter in August 2018 and then credit manager in December 2019.

He said: “At a lender that embraces complex and time pressured bridging, light development and bridge-to-let cases, as well more standard applications, you find that every day is a learning experience.

“The knowledge and experience I have built up over my time at Aspen will not only help shape our day-to-day workload and product offering going forwards, but I also am excited to be helping educate our newer members of staff so they too can fulfil their professional ambitions with this great company.”
