Apex Bridging has appointed Andy Bayes as its head of marketing.

He joins the Midlands-based specialist lender from the Nottingham Building Society where he had held a similar position for the last eight years following senior roles at Nationwide and Santander.

Bayes (pictured) said: “After hearing what the group and particularly Apex Bridging have planned for the next few years, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of the group has put together a talented team with ambitious plans and committed shareholders. I’m excited to see what we can deliver together in the years ahead.

“Apex Bridging has been lending since 2013 and has been building a model based on the stakeholder concept that they now feel is ready for a wider distribution.”

Sonia Shortland, director at Apex Bridging, added: “We are delighted to have Andy on board. The selection process challenged our recruitment talents as we had several outstanding candidates to consider but Andy was the standout one.

“He brings with him the experience and success record we will need if our marketing activity is going to compliment the plans we are putting in place for growth, and to support other senior roles that we will be filling in the coming months.”
