Allica Bank has announced the appointment of Danny McMurdo as business relationship manager for the South West.

McMurdo (pictured) will work in collaboration with local brokers and introducers to support businesses in the area with access to financial products.

His previous experience includes finance and banking positions held across various real estate finance asset classes.

Most recently, he worked for Relendex Secured Lending, where he supported clients nationwide with access to finance to help them achieve their goals.

McMurdo said: “It’s exciting and rewarding to be working for a bank that values local expertise and human relationships above all. Throughout my career, I have always aimed to provide tangible value to small and medium-sized businesses, and this will be more important than ever in this uniquely challenging period.

“Now, more than ever, small and medium-sized businesses in the South West need a bank that will work collaboratively with them to understand their needs and support their success. I’m looking forward to doing just that.”

Mark Stephens, CEO of Allica Bank, added: “Danny’s extensive experience in the banking sector and his in-depth grounding in the mechanics of the lending market make him a great addition to the Allica Bank team. In his new role, Danny will nurture relationships with businesses and brokers in the South West, providing them with the straightforward expertise and guidance that Allica Bank prides itself on.”
