Alex Hammond quits Castle Trust to set up own firm

Alex Hammond has left Castle Trust to start a public relations and content business called Also Communications.

He was Castle Trust’s head of mortgage marketing at Castle Trust and his 16 year career in the mortgage sector has included senior marketing and communications roles at Kensington and Investec and a stint in the trade press.

Hammond (pictured) said: “A lot of businesses in our industry struggle to use content to stand out from the crowd. Some settle for an irregular drip of stories, while others engage an agency, only to find they are working with someone who doesn’t understand their business.

“I started Also Communications to use my experience to provide unrivalled specialist PR, and communications support to businesses with an interest in the UK mortgage market.

“It’s not only about delivering quality PR that cuts through the clutter, it’s also about adding value by leveraging content and thought leadership across multiple channels. That’s how I came up with the name – it’s not only PR, it’s not just content, it’s Also Communications.”
