Aldermore to hold seminars at MBE London

Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) is to hold a series of seminars by Aldermore at the London Expo next month.

The event takes place on 16 October at the Barbican.

In the main MBE seminar theatre Damian Thompson (pictured), director of mortgages at Aldermore, will be speaking about first time buyers and the challenges they have entering the mortgage market.

The main stage seminars at MBE London are CPD accredited and IFAS, mortgage introducers and financial intermediaries can pick up valuable CPD hours.

Aldermore will also have its own lecture theatre and its talks will include seminars on the current mortgage market from the perspective of lenders and brokers, as well covering key industry topics that can help and inform brokers. These will be hosted by industry figures such as Martin Reynolds of SimplyBiz, Andrew Montlake of Coreco and Danny Belton from L&G.

Thompson will talk about tackling unfairness in the mortgage industry and about Aldermore’s 10 years in serving this sector.

Brokers and mortgage introducers can spend one-to-one time with Aldermore’s underwriters, who will be on hand to answer any questions about broker cases and how their latest range of products could help.

Thompson said: “First time buyers are a key driver of the mortgage market and the desire to own your own home remains a strong aspiration in the UK. Understanding the difficulties and unique challenges this generation of new buyers face is vital so the industry can work better together with brokers to improve the journey of getting on the ladder.

“We’re delighted to be contributing to the seminar programme at MBE London in what promises to be a fantastic day of learning and debate. We are also hosting our own “pop-up” theatre where we’ll be shining a light on the key hot topics in the mortgage industry and how we can help brokers further understand this ever-changing market.”

Mike Mikunda from MBE added: “We are very pleased to announce another very relevant series of seminars by Aldermore covering a range of important subjects that will be informative and useful to our delegates. It all adds up to a topical seminar programme that covers the most important subjects in the market right now.

“The London Expo will appeal to mortgage brokers, finance introducers and IFAs and is the ideal place to meet lenders and providers to help grow their business.”
