AdviserSoftware.com has announced a key internal promotion and a strategic new hire as the firm strengthens its team to support ongoing growth and deepens its focus on data-driven insights for the financial advice sector.

Darren Madden, who joined the business in 2023 as a research consultant, has been promoted to the role of advicetech solutions manager. In his new position, Madden will be responsible for shaping the development of the company’s technology proposition, drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in financial services and a reputation for strategic thinking and innovation under pressure.

Madden’s promotion underscores AdviserSoftware.com’s emphasis on internal progression and talent development. According to the company, his restructuring of the Adviser Software Insight report has helped position the platform as a key destination for firms seeking the right technology solutions.

Founder Ian McKenna praised Madden’s contribution, noting: “In just over two years Darren has gone from strength to strength. His work restructuring our Adviser Software Insight report, the ultimate guide to adviser technology and our AdviserSoftware.com site has helped make this the ultimate destination for advisers looking to find the right tech for their businesses.”

McKenna added that the firm’s strategy of hiring individuals with direct experience in advice firms was central to its success, stating: “Our strategy of employing people with first-hand experience working in advice firms means we have a team who really understand the pressures on advisers.”

Madden said of his new role: “I have always had a passion for technology and believed in its huge potential to transform the way adviser firms operate. It is great to be in a role that enables me to dedicate so much time to getting into the detail of the different systems.”
