Accord to pull its record low fixed rate

Published on

Accord Mortgages is to withdraw its record low 0.99% two-year fixed rate mortgage at 8pm on Thursday, 28 September.

The limited edition mortgage is available to home buyers and remortgage customers with up to a 20% deposit, and comes with a £1,495 product fee plus free standard valuation.

David Robinson, national intermediary sales manager at Accord, said “Our lowest ever fixed rate mortgage has proved to be very popular with brokers and their clients. We launched the mortgage at a time when there was speculation of a looming Bank Rate rise plus one of the biggest periods of mortgage maturities in five years, so this deal seems to have ticked the right boxes for borrowers.

“We have experienced an extremely high level of demand for the mortgage and, as with all limited edition offers, it can be withdrawn at any time. Therefore we wanted to give brokers a heads up that the mortgage will only remain on sale for a limited time.”
