ABI boss quits

Kerrie Kelly is stepping down from her role as director general of the Association of British Insurers (ABI).

She is to return to Australia for personal reasons. A former executive director and CEO of the Insurance Council of Australia, Kelly took up the role in early 2010.

Maggie Craig, director of life and savings at the ABI, will serve as acting-director general while a permanent replacement is found.
