The recent Children with Cancer UK’s Gala Dinner, which was sponsored by Market Financial Solutions, raised over £725,000.

The event took place on 27 November at the Peninsula hotel in London. It included an auction, children’s choir and dinner.

Children with Cancer UK funds research into better, kinder oncology treatments, significantly contributing to improving survival rates in the process. The charity also provides vital support to the families of children with cancer, as well as the children themselves.

Specialist lender Market Financial Solutions has been the main sponsor of the annual gala dinner for each of the past three years. The amount raised in 2024 tops the funds generated in 2022 (over £700,000) and 2023 (over £620,000).

All the money raised will fund vital life-saving childhood cancer research and also support Children with Cancer UK’s wellbeing activities.

For a number of years now we’ve been proud to support the organisation by sponsoring its annual gala – it’s always a wonderful occasion, and also an important night of fundraising, helping Children with Cancer UK do even more great work in the future.

“It’s wonderful to see that businesses and guests have donated so generously for the 2024 gala. The Market Financial Solutions team had an amazing time at the event, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Children with Cancer UK in the future.”

“Every pound raised will make a huge difference for children and young people facing cancer”

Amar Naher, CEO of Children with Cancer UK, added: “Surpassing our fundraising goal is a testament to the incredible generosity and commitment of our supporters. Every pound raised will make a huge difference for children and young people facing cancer.

“I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Market Financial Solutions for their generous, vital and continued support of our fundraising gala. Their sponsorship not only contributes to the event’s success but also helps us support families in their toughest times, and funds vital specialist research.

“Together, we are providing hope for a future where every child and young person survives cancer. We look forward to continuing this partnership and achieving even greater things together.”
