Versed Financial appoints broadcaster Sally Mitchell as consultant

Versed Financial, an appointed representative firm of Rosemount Financial Solutions (IFA), has bolstered its advisory team with the appointment of broadcaster and mortgage commentator Sally Mitchell as a mortgage and protection consultant.

Well known for her media work across television and radio, Mitchell (pictured) has built a reputation for bringing clarity to complex financial matters, particularly in the high-value mortgage space. Her new role will see her work directly with clients to provide tailored mortgage and protection advice.

Mitchell approached Versed’s co-founders, Kim Balasubramaniam and Katrina Horstead, after being impressed by the firm’s rapid early growth. The company joined the Rosemount network last year in order to broaden its services and offer a comprehensive financial planning proposition beyond its core mortgage and protection business.

In a joint statement, Balasubramaniam and Horstead welcomed the appointment, saying: “Sally is a fantastic addition to the Versed team, bringing a wealth of experience and a brilliant reputation for delivering a personalised service. To have attracted the attention of an adviser of Sally’s calibre shows we are establishing Versed as a trusted name in financial advice.”

Mitchell said her decision to join Versed was driven by a shared ethos and a desire to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. “I was keen to join Versed because it was clear we have a shared passion for demystifying financial issues, and helping our clients to secure their financial futures,” she said. “I can’t wait to get started, delivering a bespoke service in a boutique setting for both existing and new clients.”

Versed’s affiliation with Rosemount has enabled the firm to pursue its broader advisory ambitions. Rosemount’s chief executive, Ahmed Bawa, said the move has been transformative: “The growth of Versed Financial since joining the Rosemount family has been wonderful to see. Kim and Katrina wanted their business to provide clients with the full financial planning experience, but could not do so as part of their previous network.”

He added: “Rosemount is one of the fastest growing networks in the country, and advisers are joining us because we enable them to build the business they aspire to run, rather than acting as a blocker on their ambitions.”
