The Right Mortgage to hold PMI Summit in July

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network and DA Club have issued details of a new Private Medical Insurance (PMI) Summit and awards ceremony for advisers taking place in July.

The Summit will provide both specialist PMI advisers or those looking to start to advise in PMI, a range of information on the sector from its specialist division, The Right PMI Network, plus a range of providers.

Taking place on Wednesday 5 July at the Nuthurst Grange Country House Hotel in Solihull, attendees will be able to hear from PMI sector specialists via keynote presentations, roundtables and panel Q&A discussions.

A number of sponsors will also have exhibition stands, allowing advisers to find out more about the healthcare products on offer, their USPs and the reasons why different products might be suitable for different clients.

There will also be a focus from The Right Mortgage on how to make the most of the PMI sales opportunity, outlining the support and resource they can provide to advisers seeking to maximise their activity in this product space.

The Right Mortgage recently expanded its PMI specialist team with more support within supervision and development to specifically support advisers new to the product area, and to help them identify PMI client opportunities.

Provider sponsors at the Summit include: 4C, Aviva, AXA, Bupa, The Exeter, Freedom Health Insurance, Medicash, National Friendly, SIP and Vitality.

The network is also working with AMII (The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries) who will host a drop-in table for advisers.

For further details and to register, advisers should visit bit.ly/PMISummit23. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Amy Wilson, head of general insurance (GI and PMI) at The Right Mortgage, said: “In recent months we’ve seen a growing interest from advisers in PMI products and employee benefits, in terms of how they can provide these solutions to their customers – if they’re not already – and how they make the most of the opportunity that clearly exists. This is undoubtedly off the back of growing client demand for advice in this area.

“Given what is happening in the NHS right now, particularly around access to care and having to deal with longer waiting lists in order to secure treatment, it is perhaps not surprising that more consumers are now willing to look at their PMI options.

“It therefore makes sense for more advisers to add this particular product string to their advice bow, and at The Right Mortgage we have a dedicated proposition available to support them.

“We recognise the growing value of our adviser members being able to offer PMI-specific advice, and we have added specialist support to the team ensuring more excellent advocates for the product within the network and more support than ever for advisers. This will allow them to develop their own offerings and make the most of this growing demand.

“Our first PMI Summit promises to be a very fruitful day for all those who attend, and we have an excellent array of sessions planned plus a wide range of providers available. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone on the 5th July.”
