Aldermore has made two changes to its senior leadership team in its mortgages division.

Commercial mortgage managing director Rob Lankey is taking on the newly created role of director, group distribution, and Charles Haresnape currently managing director of residential mortgages, will take responsibility as managing director for both residential and commercial mortgages.

Haresnape recently became chairman of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) and is an executive committee member of the CML.

Lankey (pictured) has led Aldermore’s award-winning commercial mortgage business since its launch in 2009 and in his new role will manage the delivery of strategic initiatives across the Bank.

Mark Stephens, deputy CEO and group commercial director at Aldermore, said: “I am delighted to announce these new roles, which will further consolidate our mortgage businesses and puts distribution right at the heart of our offering.

“Rob Lankey will be playing a vital role working across the group to ensure delivery of core strategic initiatives including the development of our cross-sales strategy, while Charles Haresnape will continue to build on the success of the mortgage businesses across our property development, commercial and residential mortgage ranges.”

Lankey said: “I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved and built at Aldermore Commercial Mortgages and I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to take on this new role. I look forward to growing the distribution strategy of the bank and ensuring we maximise our customer relationships.”

Haresnape added: “I am delighted to be taking up this new role and to have the opportunity to focus on growing the entire mortgages business at Aldermore. Bringing our commercial and residential mortgage businesses together at a divisional level will bring even greater consistency and keep us focused on serving our customers and intermediaries efficiently.”
