L&G Business Quality Awards open for submission

Published on

Legal & General has unveiled its sixth annual Business Quality Awards (BQAs), with the Outstanding Customer Outcome category now open for submission.

Launched in 2011, the awards recognise IFAs and network advisers who have demonstrated best practice in customer service and a proven commitment to retaining clients in the protection business.

This year’s awards will see a new category, the Data Precision Award, which recognises accuracy when collecting client information at the point of sale for the successful completion of protection applications. Entrants are measured on their ‘Check Your Details’ or CYD amendment and non-disclosure rates to calculate a combined score that is assessed by the award judges.

Entries for the Outstanding Customer Outcome category will be accepted until submissions close on Friday 30 September 2016. Entrants should relate their submissions to activities or products introduced between 1 October 2015 and 30 September 2016 and must have used Legal & General systems or services to qualify.

As in previous years, the remaining categories will be judged on a series of performance metrics by Legal & General’s distribution quality management team.

A full list of the categories for the 2016-17 BQA Awards is as follows:

  • Data Precision
  • Outstanding Performance Award
  • Best Reinstatement Performance Award
  • Best Customer Retention Performance Award
  • Customer Excellence Award – Firm and Network
  • Best Supporting Account Manager Award
  • Special Recognition Award
  • Outstanding Customer Outcome Award

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, which will take place between 11am and 3pm on Thursday 9 February 2017 at One Coleman Street, London, EC2R 5AA.

Steve Bryan, director of intermediary at Legal & General, said: “Over the past six years, the Business Quality Awards have been a key part of the protection calendar, where we recognise advisers who demonstrate the very best in customer service and supporting retention business.

“Recognising the exceptional standards and achievements of our winners and entrants each year plays an important role in encouraging the industry to continue to offer a high level of service for consumers seeking advice on some of the most important financial decisions they will make in their lives.

“We very much look forward to judging this year’s submissions and to announcing the winners of the 2016 Business Quality Awards.”
