Bright Grey offers second opinion option

Published on

Bright Grey is extending its Helping Hand service to include a second medical opinion.

The second opinion will be available face-to-face within the UK, and customers will be able to request one without making a claim.

If a customer feels unsure about a medical diagnosis or recommended course of treatment, a personal nurse adviser from RedArc can now help them decide if they would benefit from a second medical opinion. Afterwards, their personal nurse adviser will remain on hand to help them understand the second opinion, discuss the suggested options, as well as help them come to terms with the outcome.

Debbie Kennedy, head of protection proposition design for Royal London Group’s intermediary division, said: “Helping Hand’s second medical opinion option gives customers extra help when they need it most. This enhancement sets us apart from other UK providers because we’re offering face-to-face consultations and, as with all the services available through Helping Hand, it can be used any time – not just at claim.

“This change is part of our journey towards Bright Grey becoming Royal London. We’re refining and growing the best parts of our protection offerings – the aspects which advisers tell us customers value most, so they can continue to recommend Bright Grey with confidence.”
