Access FS adds April Mortgages to lender panel

Published on

Access Financial Services has added April Mortgages to its lender panel, giving brokers access to a range of long-term fixed rate products, including no-deposit and interest-only deals.

April Mortgages, which entered the market earlier this year, offers 5, 10 and 15-year fixed rate mortgages for home movers, remortgagors and first-time buyers.

Its product suite has drawn attention for several borrower-friendly features, including no early repayment charges for overpayments, uncapped overpayments, and automatic rate reductions as the loan-to-value ratio drops.

The lender also allows income multiples of up to seven times, positioning itself as a flexible option for those with strong earnings but limited equity or savings.

A standout offering in the lender’s range is its Interest Only+ product, designed to reduce monthly outgoings and give borrowers greater financial flexibility.

In addition, its recently launched 100% loan-to-value mortgage, aimed at buyers without family support for deposits, enables borrowing up to 4.49 times income on fixed terms of 10 or 15 years.

Nick Jones, mortgage sales and marketing director at Access FS, said: “As a fast-growing brokerage, Access FS is always keen to work with lenders who have a different approach, targeted products and innovative criteria. This is why we’re really pleased to be adding a vibrant business like April Mortgages to our panel.

“They’ll lend up to 7x a borrower’s income. They have zero deposit mortgages. They have 15-year fixed rate products. They have mortgages where the rate automatically reduces as borrowers pay down their loan. Their mortgages come with uncapped overpayments and no early repayment charges when borrowers are moving home.

“The whole concept – of mortgages that give borrowers a combination of peace of mind and freedom – is very fresh and our borrower clients should appreciate it.”

April Mortgages launched with a mission to disrupt what it sees as outdated norms in the UK mortgage market, replacing complexity with transparency and inflexibility with adaptability.

Rachael Hunnisett

Rachael Hunnisett, director of mortgage distribution at April Mortgages, said: “Partnering with distributors who share our vision of a simple, fair and transparent future for UK mortgage lending is key to our success. Access FS share that vision.

“We look forward to working closely with the Access FS team as we continue to drive innovation to bring peace of mind to borrowers.”
