Most of the systems offer the ability to market to specific client segments.

For example, eKeeper has the ability to segment and run campaigns from the CRM and exportable to third party tools, while Smartr365 has a full integration with Mailchimp, allowing users to market to all their clients by segment.

Smartr365 also automatically begins the remortgage process by contacting clients, notifying them of fluctuations in their house price etc. to drive a stronger retention rate.

All five of the CRM systems have some form of document storage. OMS added a document storage facility with the full client portal during the past year.

Cloud storage is the usual method employed. For example, All 360 Lifecycle user data is securely hosted on Microsoft Azure, while eKeeper utilises Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Smartr365’s DocuStore feature gives users free data storage, with all charges included in the monthly fee, while Trackerhub charges an extra £6 per month per user (at firm level).

It is important that advisers’ CRM systems provide full audit-trail facilities in order to assist with advisers’ compliance responsibilities.

For example, Trackerhub provides referral tracking, Know Your Client, encrypted feedback, secure file sharing across introducers and B2B Directory users, while OMS offers full back end compliance function, with integrated suitability letters, terms of business.

The ability to sync appointment and reminder data with third-party mail/calendar applications is provided by all the CRM systems.

For example, eKeeper has a in-built diary and notification system with diary synchronisation supporting Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, an others.

In 2020, Smartr365 added functionality for users to create Microsoft Teams meetings and connect their calendars.

Trackerhub says it can have the capability “if needed”.

The ability to create white-labelled documentation is a standard feature for all the CRMs.
